Dogs in Shelters
My friend, my companion, my dog.
Through good times and bad, my best friend, my buddy.
Through happy and sad, beside me you stand, beside me
you walk.
I know you'll be there, for as long as God will allow.
And I will love you for the rest of my life.
Too Many Shorthairs in Need
Our foster homes are always full, as
unfortunately there are more German
Shorthairs out there in need of homes
than we can bring into our program. To
help find these dogs in shelters homes,
we've added this page to our site. If we
discover a GSP in need in a shelter that
we cannot foster we will list it here in
hopes that someone may be interested. If
you know of a GSP in a shelter in need
please contact us
and we'll list it here.
Shelter
Information
In keeping with our program, we will
only list dogs in shelters that are
either spayed or neutered. If we have
been informed that a dog is in need of
shots or medical treatment, we will list
that information here. Although we are
listing this dog on our page, the GSP
Rescue of Wisconsin is not responsible
for these dogs unless they are take into
our foster program. All adoptions must
follow the guidelines set down by the
adopting shelter. If a listing on this
page helps you find the GSP for you and
you would like to donate to our program,
please visit our Donations Page.
For information on each dog, please
email the contact listed under that dog,
