On
August 13th, 2003 we lost to cancer the most precious little shorthair to ever
grace a household. Little Minnie Minerva came to us late in life at the age of
9, and for the next five years gave us more joy and wonder than her family could
have ever hoped. From her constantly wagging tail to her demanding little bark
for treats, Minnie was the momma of all shorthairs ever to cross paths with the
German Shorthair Pointer Rescue of Wisconsin. Mother to nearly 100 pups before
coming to us, it was our pleasure to grant this little girl a retirement that
brought happiness to all who ever met her.
Suddenly and without warning Minnie succumbed to cancer, and by God's divine
grace left us for the Rainbow Bridge. Along with Brownie the Protector, Minnie
now acts as Momma to All Shorthairs that romp though the heavenly fields -- and
yearn for the loving touch of the ones they left behind.
We will meet again someday Little Momma, until then please be well. We miss you terribly.
