In
Memory of Fran Hoffman (1913 - 2001) "Dad" Hoffman (as we referred to him) owned
German Shorthaired Pointers all his life. In the fall of '00, after his wife
Lorraine passed away, Dad came to us wanting to adopt one of our rescued
pointers, and our search for the right dog for Dad began. However, during the
winter Dad's health began to fail, and the adoption was postponed. Unfortunately
in June '01 and to our great sadness, Dad had another calling. Dad is now with
his darling wife and all of his beloved shorthairs in God's kingdom, where he
can hunt or fish all day if he wants. We'll miss you Dad, we'll think of you
always.
We're sure Fran is keeping an eye on Brownie, making sure he keeps his nose out of the garbage, and scratching the bellies of all our lost friends.
